Your VisitWe enjoy meeting new visitors and want to make your visit with us memorable.
SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP EVENTS If you are coming to one of our worship events on a Sunday flash your lights to one of our greeters as you approach and they will direct you to a visitor’s car park space. On entering GCC you will be welcomed by our ushers who will direct you into the main auditorium. CHILDREN There will be children's and youth workers available, who will direct you to the appropriate buildings where activities will be taking place for all of the age groups up to 18 years of age. HOSTS One of our team of hosts would love to provide you with the opportunity to experience a cup of coffee in our cafe so that you can find out a little bit more about us. At the close of the worship event present the invitation card you will receive during the event, at the information desk in the foyer and you will receive a coffee voucher, mug, DVD and linked to a host. CAFE A feature of Sunday life at GCC is the Cafe experience. You will find the Cafe adjacent to the main foyer. The relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere is an ideal place to get to know people. After coffee stay for lunch and enjoy the culinary delights available. The Cafe is a place of fun, fellowship and friends enjoying life and food together. Our ServicesWe are a church of diversity, and we like that. In fact we want diversity to flourish in our community. People, as we all know, have diverse preferences, tendencies and habits, and they also have their families to build, their neighbours to build friendships with, their culture to embrace and life (in its fullest terms) to keep up with. With our Sunday services we want to connect where we can with all of these aspects and so we are a church with multiple contemporary services on a Sunday and those services have different service styles.
Each of our services has the same message that anchors all of us in a shared dialogue throughout our faith community. In addition, both of the morning services (9 and 11am) continue to provide duplicate children’s programmes. Mandarin translation (via headsets) is provided at the 11am service. 9am service Hello and good morning! Join us for a pumping, early morning gathering infused with the freshness of morning light and the energy of the new day. Look forward to a vibrant, enthusiastic and engaging contemporary service grounded with a sense of order where you can hear yourself sing, reflect on a clear biblical message, and have space to meet with God in weekly communion together. This service is slightly shorter, finishing around 10.10am, to enable you time to connect with others in the café. 11am service It may have been a rush getting here but you are here now and it is time to slow the pace, enter into time with God, let the world fade. This rounded, artistic service with a full-sound band, atmospheric setting, and clear biblical message takes you on a journey. Communion is enjoyed by everyone the first Sunday of the month, but is available during other Sundays at Communion and prayer stations. This service has a longer set of singing, finishing around 12.20pm before lunch in the cafe. 6.30pm service Coursing with a youthful energy for life, our evening services are intended to be the sort of environment that is immersive and intimate and one that invites you to bring your honest experience of life into God’s presence and connect with his radical love. It’s varied elements, ranging from a broad range of music (and our longest singing bracket), clear biblical message, artistic musings, honest stories, communion, and a periodic soapbox, are designed to help people engage with the challenges and the beauty of doing this thing called life well. Stations for communion and prayer are available weekly to provide space for you to get alone with God at any point during the service. The service typically finishes around 8pm enabling time to connect with new friends. Once a month, Sunday Best café provides a light, cheap – but quality – dinner after the service. |
