I grew up in the South Island town of Oamaru before moving to Brisbane for my teacher training and then moved to Auckland in 1994 where I have lived ever since. I met my husband Mark at church and we were married in 1998. We now have nine children. We adopted twin boys in 2003, who are now 18 and have left home. We have seven children born to us, three boys aged 11, 8 and 1 and four girls aged 10, 7, 5 and 2.
I have a background in primary teaching having gained a Bachelor of Teaching at Christian Heritage College in Brisbane and then a Bachelor of Education at Auckland College of Education. I taught full time in the classroom for nine years and then another 5 years part time. |
My number one passion is family and parenting. I have facilitated parenting toolbox courses in the past through Parents Inc and enjoy connecting with other parents to encourage one another in the role of family and raising Godly children.
I am particularly excited about the Home Centre and helping families to become intentional about the way we raise our children to become strong in their faith and impact our community for good. Janelle Palmer |
