Grace Table:
Most of us are unaware and do not dwell on the reality that our Creator God gives us sunlight and oxygen ceaselessly, an example of GRACE.
The table is there to give the opportunity to experience, practice, and become familiar with GRACE and be an initiator of GRACE (unmerited favour)
So place what you can give on the table, and take what you need from it.
As you do, pause in a moment with God and let your giving or taking be free from obligation, momentarily a spontaneous act of kindness.
Use the table to acquaint yourself with GRACE, and absorb it into your way of life.
This is why the table is set up, to deepen an aspect of your walk with the LORD.

Prison Ministry
Purpose, Vision, and Goals
By the power of the HOLY SPIRIT we bring Jesus to those to whom this world appears to be hostile, unloving and dangerous. Ministering to those in Paremoremo Maximum Security Prison, and other prisons as the opportunity and team develops.
Worship is covered by a prayer team (vine) organised by one of our 5 person group plus a four man prayer group meeting every Thursday.
Pastoral care is covered by Pastor Mike Porteous, linked to our Uplift and Counselling Ministries.
Our Mission is to reach out, and befriend and disciple prisoners, and walking with them after their release. The post prison aspect is met by BOND Trust, headed by Roger Mitten, which establishes a relational fellowship for support as they re-adjust to life after prison.
Our communication to others is via a weekly bulletin to ventilate our activities to the membership of GCC who may be led to join us.
We do not appear to undertake training as all members of the group (2 women, three men) are mature in their walk, HOLY SPIRIT directed, and led by one of our number who we can follow with ease.
Potential: We see no boundaries to expansion. We can see, and welcome combination with other church groups involved as we are in a regular once monthly 2 hour church service at Paremoremo prison for 5-16 prisoners, (depending on activities at the prison) and also 2 women prisoners at WIRI prison as pen pals. The respondents are members of GCC and are women.
