COMMUNITY OUTREACH
GCC is proud to provide support and encouragement to our local community through a number of practical ways. CAP (Christians against Poverty) provides much-needed budget advice to those who are struggling financially. Seniors Ministry engages with those aged 60+. This provides many chances for seniors to connect including Activity Centre, Bible Study, Indoor Bowls and Resthome visits. We host over 150 students each week who attend our English Classes. They also enjoy regular outings and events, which help connect them with our church family. CHILDREN AND YOUTH We have a number of groups who cater for youth of all ages including crèche facilities on site. The children begin the Sunday service in the main auditorium and then go on to their various programmes throughout the church. These include: Knee High Army (ages 1 - 4) Transformers (ages 5 – 10) Mania (ages 11 – 13) Blueprint (ages 14 – 18) Pulse (ages 19 - 25) WOMEN’S MINISTRIES We have a very dynamic range of ministries including: Tuesdays in the Café, which is a morning Bible study a time to pray and encourage one another. Women after Work provides a platform for professional women to connect out of work hours. We also have a New Mothers group, which helps young mums to share and grow together, plus we also host a Mainly Music group every Friday morning, which is very popular. We also have a Single Parents Ministry, which meets monthly, and single parents can socialise and be inspired. |
FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES
These ministries provide evangelistic, discipleship and fellowship opportunities in a number of ways. The Alpha Ministry is a renowned course, which helps establish people in their faith. We recently completed our 50th course in 15 years here at GCC. We have a Cell Group to suit everyone and we would love to help you to connect with others on a regular basis. The SALT Group run a variety of exciting events every month and also host cell groups all over Auckland. This ministry is aimed at those aged roughly 25 – 39. The Pulse group is for those from 18 – 25. They also have a number of cell groups and are very involved in our Sunday evening service. Our Men’s Ministry has an exciting prayer initiative, which is making excellent progress. This takes place every Friday morning between 7 and 8 a.m. Special Events are something that GCC is well known for. Our most popular is our annual Christmas Drive Thru which attracts over 5000 people each year. Our carpark is transformed into a Christmas extravaganza and is made possible by over 300 wonderful volunteers! CREATIVE MINISTRIES Worship is in an integral part of our Sunday services. We have a strong team of volunteers, who enjoy sharing their talent in playing and singing as part of our services as well as other events and camps. We also have a hard-working Technical team who look after all our services and events. SUPPORT MINISTRIES We endeavour to make everyone feel welcome at our church. We host visitors after the services and help them to feel connected. Our Café is a popular place for our church family to meet and enjoy great food and excellent company. We have an awesome group of volunteers who help direct traffic, usher, prepare communion and much more!
