WE HAVE A GOOD GOD,WE HAVE A GREAT GOD

I had the privilege, in July 07, to lead a team of ten others to Hyderabad, India, where we spent time with Pastor Raj and many of the people from his church. I say it is a privilege because despite the sickness, heat, poverty and the utter fi lth that we experienced, we had the opportunity to see God at work and to play a small part in what He is doing there.

Since last year the church has doubled in size and throughout our time there we saw over 500 people give their hearts to God. The team was made up of musicians, dancers and children’s workers. Unlike last year where the trip was focused mainly around the band, this year we found ourselves in the ministry of encouragement. We went to many schools and cell groups sharing music, the Word and testimonies. We also had the opportunity to spend time with musicians and children’s workers from the King’s Temple Church,
helping to develop and strengthen their local ministries.

It is the most amazing thing to be able to travel halfway around the world and find yourself plugged into a community of faith, where you are accepted and able to minister to and encourage the local church. The body of Christ is truly a beautiful thing.
